I have held off until now—-Yes, you could have ANY color you wanted
That seems to be on everyone’s lips
BUT more importantly (IN my humble opinion) What was the prevailing culture & taste of the time (1929). Yes attention getting colors for those who wanted to be noticed–ie Hollywood types & spivs. But what was the culture & taste of the typical of Pierce- Arrow buyer? There is a whole world of social study & research to do on color fashion of the rich of 1929. Attention getting from the general public was I suspect one of the last things that the majority of Pierce buyers wanted. Quiet good taste 1929 style would be it.– Jak.
