I’m going to rebuild the Lovejoy shocks on my 1932 Model 54. Has anyone had recent experience with any of the rebuilders listed in our Parts and Services directory: Apple Hydraulics, Five Points Classic Auto Shocks, and M&S Hydraulics? Thanks.
10 or 11 years ago Five Points did the shocks on the 1930 Model C sedan I owned at that time, and the results were fine.
About 15 years ago apple did mine, they worked fine but the finish on them was terrible. We repainted them. I also ended up using motorcycle fork oil to adjust the rate and they worked much better than the factory replacment oil installed by apple. Ed
I have used Five Points for the shocks on both Cadillac and Pierce. Fair price and good results each time.
