    A word of caution concerning NOS and other original type oil filters. These filters are old and the filtering media (usually cotton) will have deteriorated. If used as is, the media will get into the oil and cause problems. These filters should be converted to use a modern spin-on filter inside. PAS member Bob Sands and others have kits to make this conversion.

    Thanks Paul. I was assuming that is exactly what anyone would do with this filter. I had that process done for the filter on my 840A and it is definately the way to go.
