Does anyone know how much water/coolant it takes to fill a 1935 V-12 cooling system (engine, radiator, hoses – the whole thing). Does 12 quarts sound about right?
Thanks in advance!
My 1703 cooling system takes 38 quarts. I imagine that yours would be similar.

My 1933 1247 V-12 takes over 6 GALLONS to fill the entire system. 12 quarts is only a start.

Thanks for the info – we drained and changed it all. It looks like it was about 7-8 gallons – a lot more than I expected. We’ll see where we are after some drivin’ around.
Hi Stephen,
PASB 87-2 shows the cooling system capacity of the 1935 V-12 is 10 gallons!!
Happy motoring,
Chris
