    Hello,

I’m looking at the roadster that Volo auto museum has. The top on the roadster does not look correct to me but i’m no expert. Has anyone looked at this car? I can really use some help here.

    Thanks

The windshield looks like a cabriolet windshield, I doubt this is a TRUE roadster. Doors and top are not

roadster. It looks like a cabriolet that wants to become a roadster. Suggest you look up the difference

between a roadster and a cabriolet. Questions? call me 586-752-6662—Leo

I would listen to Leo, he has owned one of these cars, and the car in the photos has lots of what I would call “issues”. Before you spend any money on it I would have a Pierce expert look at it in detail and give you a detailed written description of it, both to condition, and correct and incorrect parts, panels, ect. Use caution when you buy ANY OPEN PIERCE ARROW. Ed

I agree, if you look at the shape of the metal above the dashboard, it doesn’t look correct for an open car, on my 43 phaeton it is curved and wraps around sides. Also, I was looking for a picture showing the cowl vent, didn’t open cars have two vents and closed cars have one?

The chrome plates above front of door, and on panel right behind door, appear to be something added, possibly when coupe top removed?

Thanks for all the valued input. My search for that 31+ open pierce will continue. If anyone knows of a good one please let me know.

    Thanks again,

    Mark
