    I am trying to confirm the identity of some hood doors I’ve had for a long time. They were identified as being from a 30 or 31 Pierce by the previous owner. They measure 4″ wide by 8″” high with two hinges and a lock tab with no provision for any kind of handle. I have 5 that are chrome plated and two that are painted. Thanks for any help you can provide.”

    Donald, your picture and measurements are exactly as the hood doors on my ’31 model 43. The door is spring loaded and releases with an oblong thumb button on the hood beside the door that pulls a pin out of the hole in the lock tab. Merlin Smith
