I found this ad and thought I would post it. Alot of people indicated that this lighter is correct for my car. I was having a tough time finding a pic to see what I was looking for. I came across this ad and thought I would post it for anyone else who might need one and did not know exaclty what they look like. They are a bit different.
Thanks to Dr. Pete, he lead me to an auction that had been on for only minutes. It ended moments after I pulled it up. I was depressed. For some unknown reason, a moment later I reran the auction number and the auction was valid again.!!!! I snapped it up. Its on its way to me!!! Thanks again, Doc.!!
The clamp on lighter is different from the correct Pierce Arrow Hot Head Lighter.Irven Blonder some years back made new ones that were correct and Dave Murray may have some left.
NOS North East lighter
The lighter above apears to match the ad 1928, The other is a touch different. I assume it is close but a few years newer. It too is marked North East Hot Hed.
Any one have any input???
The Hothead lighter for the 1929 Pierce Arrow mounts to the hole in the dash on the right hand side. The head is a slightly different shape from the photos you have posted.Originals are hard to find but a nice reproduction was made a few years ago and one not on a car or being held for a car may be out there.
