I was looking at my exhaust manifold and thought I had a hole in it above the heat riser valve.
Luckily, after careful probing, microscopic examination and application of cleaning fluid, I determined it was a muddaubbers nest, abet of a different light grey color.
Before I made this determination, I was trying to figure out what I could do to fill this perceived hole and ran across the following company, Cotronics High Temperature Specialty Materials. They list ceramic paint and paste adhesives with service temperatures from 1200 up to 5400 Degrees F. With strength levels of from 450 to 3500 PSI. I thought they might be a solution for some hi heat repairs.(pits in manifold?)
Has anyone heard of them or have any observations?
