Does anyone have any knowledge about the green 840-A Club Sedan for Sale on E-bay and located in Gardena, CA?

I have a friend very interested in the car, but the seller seems to lack knowledge and the car apparently hasn’t been run recently.

If you can help, call me on my cell at 231-740-6610 or call Sal directly at 618-806-2384 and give him your advice.

    Auction listing expires soon.

    Thanks!

    Hi David,

Aside from the info listed on the eBay page, the car apparently was / is owned by a David A. Simon, of Gardena, CA, and I do not believe that he is the seller.

Info from Bernie Weis tracks it back to 1989, but the details are quite sketchy.

I believe that the car has been sitting for quite a while.

    I hope that this helps.

Something is odd. The above car is listed twice. One at $32,500 BIN and a new listing for $39,000 BIN. Chassis number is the same. I didn’t read the ads. Maybe there is some explanation within them.

    Looks like a nice car.

Good luck to your friend with his quest to acquire the car.

    Are those sealed beam headlight?

I think the headlight lenses and the running board rubber is wrong. But both those items are now available through the Pierce-Arrow Museum Pierce projects program at affordable prices.

I’d spotted the David Simon connection and Sal has already talked to him. As best we can tell it is a decent driver level restoration of a solid original, but will have mechanical issues to address due to inactivity.

Thanks to all for info & comments. Sal is a ‘driver’ so I hope he can get the car.

    Dave
