Hi everyone!
The mechanic is back and started to work on the car again. He is waiting for the rods. They were boiled and the babetts started to fall apart. Thank you all for the warning! A little extra now, saved me a ton later.
I am in search of a front end part. I had no idea it was missing. Does anyone have the front steering linkage rod. (not sure what it is called) in the picture. I assume they are identical for both sides.
Engine should be finished first week of April. The car starting party should be shortly after that.
Thanks again to everyone. Rick
Call John Cislak, he has several 29 parts cars at the shop.
If the part you are referring to is the one in the front, middle of the picture with the grease fitting on top, that connects the shock to the axle.
Steering linkage is the bar that can barely be seen in the pic and the angled linkage in the middle is for the brakes.
Rick,
You really need a better pic of what you need.
Take the part off and photograph it.
Or at least wrap some yellow electrical tape around the part you want before you take the pic.
Sorry guys! I guess when you know what part it is it stands out. I will take a better pic. It is the shock rod. Rick
Hi Rick: Measure from mounting bolt to bolt for a correct length. The front and rear shock links are different.
Greg Long
Thanks everyone. Dave murry has a shock link for my car. Thanks, Dave.
