    Hi all

After getting everything done to my 37 Seagrave in preparation for the 40th annual Pump Primers Muster in Harrisburg Pa. I was driving up the street when the couplers disintegrated. What was I to do at 8 pm. A friend came by and mentions that he saw those at Advance Auto in the Help section. They had them and after getting all the holes lined up I was back in service by 1130 pm. I will be calling John for the correct ones. Just wanted to pass this along if you get in a bind.

What did the new ones look like installed ?? How far off were the holes ?? A photo of them installed would help.

Actually the holes were not that far off. However they were larger than the bolt. I’m sure they will do the job but I want to replace them so everything is correct.

When I get the correct ones from John Ill post pictures to answer your questions.

I’ve always heard them referred to as ‘rag joint’ couplers.

Great way to get back on the road in a pinch.

Rag joint is correct. The engineering term is Hardy Disk.
