Does anyone have or know who might have a winter front grille for a 29′?
Thanks, Rick
The 1929 Pierce Arrows had thermostatically controlled radiator shutters like Packard and other large cars of the era.A winter front would have been redundant. There was the option of a radiator stone guard.
Take a look again at my standard winter front for 1930. It is the same as yours for 1929. I had a rock guard to add as well but decided that the car looked better without it. The factory gave you a choice of ‘Black’, painted to match the ‘body of the car’, or ‘Nickel plaited’/’Chrome plated’.
Another shot.Mine is chrome plated.
I agree on the rock guard, I bought one for my ’31, propped it up against the radiator front, and didn’t like the look at all, so sold it…
The regular shutters that are factory look great, and as mentioned, could come either painted or chromed…..
