The article on oil pumps in the latest PASB was timely for me. Can someone confirm that there is not supposed to be any kind of rotating seal around the intake pipe of the Floto where it swivels in the oil pump housing? I assume that this joint should always end up below the oil level in the pan and little danger of the pump trying to suck air through the clearance of the swivel – but not sure.
A picture of my intake screen on the Floto after removing the cover plate. I wish I only had screw driver holes as described on pages 2-3 of the new 2015-5 PASB! I’m off to try and find some steel mesh
to make a new screen!
I had to switch to checking the oil pump while I am stalled on the hydraulic lifter repairs.
Thanks, Jim
