In the discussion of the Silver Arrows, mention is made of the fact that the Academy of Art Museum in San Francisco acquired the Silver Arrow sold by B/J auctions a couple of years ago.
I’d never looked at their website, but did this morning, wow, what a collection of cars, and Pierce is represented as well or better than in most such collections.
The Silver Arrow, of course. The last convertible, the 1938 convertible coupe. A very nice 1933 V-12 convertible sedan. A V-12 production Silver Arrow, appears to be the one that came out of the Pate museum in Texas, but not sure. the 1931 Model 43 sedan that was owned by Phil Marshall (an over the top White Post restoration that I was involved in).
Worth looking at the website with the cars…
