    I will be installing my brake cables next. They are free in their conduits but wondering about experiences on lubricating. Best to not grease at all to keep from getting dried up grease, or is there something that works well without drying up? 30 years ago I replaced my Packard cables with new Teflon SS sleeved cables so it wasn’t an issue. My Pierce cables are in very good shape and are good as is.

    Something similar to ‘Lock-Eze’ which is a graphite powder lubricant suspended in a thin solvent that leaves the graphite behind when it evaporates. I think modern speedo cables as well as push pull cables are lubricated with a graphite based product.
