Hi all, I have a 1930 eight cylinder and the clutch has finally gone home can anyone advise the thickness of the friction lining material on each side of the clutch please also I am advised by the guy rebuilding the unit that the 6 release lever height adjustment locknuts were not “locked”” therefore the release lever height may
not be correct any advice on the correct settings also appreciated
To keep the old girl turning heads at shows Thanks Carl”
Carl,
Others may have the detail you are looking for. I sent my clutch to Fort Wayne Clutch in Indiana here in the States. They rebuilt the clutch and sent it back. It is a work of art. They have been doing these since the cars were made. I realize you have a guy in England that is already involved, so you may want to have him contact Fort Wayne. My guess is they will provide the information you need.

Carl,
See PASB 1973 Issue 5 – It is the Long clutch service bulletin.
And also PASB 1976 Issue 5 – states 0.130″ MAX lining thickness (0.125″ nominal).
Cheers,
Bob J.
