I am always looking for the next old car project . And know I am just not going to find the good stuff by looking on eBay only. What are the best internet sites to watch to find your next restoration project. My interests include most American cars. I like restoring cars as much as driving them. Sometimes the hunt is the most fun . Thanks Doug Vogel

Projecta abound. I need to seek professional help to avoid them!

HCCA site. Prewarcar, both international and US. Those two sites will give you interesting options. On the HCCA site, make sure to look at the non-photo ads, too….a friend just scored a great, rare, early car, that had a two line ad with no pictures….

Word of mouth, too…let your buddies know you’re looking….I just bought a squirreled away 1911 Hupmobile by word of mouth….

Our Pierce and our Rickenbacker were purchased by leads from other ‘car’ people.

I know: I need to retire and become a professional “project finder””. I would not be stuck with doing anything with the projects that way.

Would my salary as such be a “”finders’ fee””?”

Significant Cars / Shawn Miller, in Indianapolis, has a “Barn Finds – Project Cars”” section of their website. About 19 cars now listed for sale ranging from two Cadillac Sixteens to a Crosley Station Wagon (no Pierces…).”

Thanks guys. I think the secret to finding great projects is to look, look, look ,and never take no for an answer.
