Hi everyone,
I have a odd question. Should the flat side of the wiper motors on my 1929 DC phaeton face up to the top of the windshield or face down?
I have seen both ways but am not sure. If the half moon extends above windshield, don’t they interfere with the top?
Rick, the original body wiper fits without hitting, flat side down. The post WWII body is larger and has to be mounted upside down. If using the post war wiper, the left and right move from one side to the other because of the hose locations. Post a photo of your wiper motors and we can id them for you. Karl
Thanks karl,
With the flat side down the hose connectorspoint outward. My motors have the little arms that line up to the holes in windshield. The driver side has a manual arm as well.
See this period picture. This was discussed not long ago among a group of us, with the round side down a lot of vision is blocked. Flat side down is correct as stated….
