Does anyone have copies of PAS membership rosters from the time period 1964-66 and/or 1969-71? I’m looking for information on a 1932 Model 54 Club Brougham owned by my late father from about 1964 until about 1972. The car was titled in Indiana. I seek to share a few old photos and historical info with the current owner.
Bob Jacobsen found my dad listed as a PAS member on a roster he has from 1968. Unfortunately, my dad did not include specific information about the car. If I can obtain the car’s serial number from an old roster, it will greatly increase my chances of connecting with the current owner.
What is your father’s name and the car serial number. With either of these, I can check the Master Vehicle Register to see what information may be there.
C.Smith is listed in the 1970 roster with a ’32 Club Brougham but without serial, engine or body numbers. I don’t have a ’71 roster but the name is not listed in the ’72 roster.

Where did C. Smith live while owning the car-WI? That would help me in searching the info I have.

I do not have late 1960s Rosters from the years you mentioned but do have the 1963 Roster called People (it is a miniature, only four inches wide) dated April 1, 1963. There is no Smith listed in any state but under Indiana there is a Model 54 brougham (without the club prefix), with engine #230852 and car #1050741 under Eugene Newlin in Russisville.

Clifford Smith lived in Gary, Indiana and is in both the 68 and 70 rosters although he had an asterisk by his name in 70 which signified that he had not paid membership dues yet.

Yes – his name was Clifford Smith and he lived in Gary, IN, during 1964-72 when he owned the 1932 Club Brougham.
Unfortunately, no information has been found yet with any specific serial numbers needed to trace the vehicle. I’m not too surprised – my dad was a quiet guy who was reluctant to share a lot of information.
I received a suggestion to see if the Indiana DMV might be able (and willing?) to search old title/registration information. I will try that approach, too.
Lastly, if you are a current owner of a 1932 Club Brougham, and you think your car’s history might include registration in Northwest Indiana around 1970, please contact me.

David……..believe it or not, a 1932 Pierce Series 54 Club Brougham is the most common body style Pierce Arrow that is in existence. Knowing the color, inside and out, as well as details like side mount covers, and type of wheels will help narrow it down.
I have a ’32 Club Brougham that first appeared in the PAS Roster in 1978 owned by Walter Drtina of LaGrange, IL. He restored my car as it appears here. Without a serial number it’s merely conjecture.

Sounds like I’m looking for a needle in a haystack. At the time my dad owned it, it was a green color (not a two-tone), with side mounted spare tires/covers/mirrors. Interior was grey or tan as I recall (which probably doesn’t help much). It had wooden spoke wheels that had cream colored rims.
Here is a photo of the car in 1965. I believe he had some parts like bumpers rechromed after this shot.

It also happens to be an incorrect rear bumper. Sometimes things like that help.

According to the 2018 Roster this car belongs to Dave Kirchenbauer in Van Wert, OH near the Indiana border. It is a very nice example of this very popular body style.
The Serial # is what Brooks gave: 1050741
The Engine number is : 230852
Registration could have been done with either number. I’m sure Dave would be appreciative of receiving any history on the car that you are able to share.

Dave Kirchenbauer is often set up with us at Hershey on “Pierce Arrow Row” and I am sure he would be happy to hear from you. He has several Pierce cars, and others as well. A true car guy.
It’s a very nice car. I was riding with Dave in that car during the last Gathering at Gilmore, and it’s really a nice car. He was just about to have the interior redone, but the interior was really not too bad at that time.
