    I’m finishing a car that I’ve been working on, 1934 840 sedan. It came with metal pieces that finish the top edges.

    The metal piece is shaped like Kilroy’s nose, with a hole every half inch, and a shade over a half inch wide. After installation, a 3/16 piece of rubber (or metal rod??) goes into the middle to finish off and hide the attaching tacks.

    This looks as correct as anything I’ve ever seen on a Pierce. I know the picture is awful but you get the idea of the shape. Can other people verify this is original equipment?

    I was wondering if a piece of extruded rubber in this shape would work for restorations. I’d think that metal would be hard to duplicate and hard to make the bends. Thoughts?
