What is the manufacture date code on the sidewall?
As best I can read it is: CIR5C9F12819. I took a photo and can send it to you.
The tires were installed about one year ago by the PAS member from whom I bought the car. Larry Sorcher of New Jersey. He drove the car very little. He’s 83.
That indicates 28th week (July) of 2019, a bit under 4 years old.
Thank you. Perhaps I should state that the tires are “recently installed” and “look like new” since that is the case—because they were installed about one year ago. Neither the owner or I knew the date of manufacture. I will edit my listing. Having said all of that, I regularly drive all of my Classic cars. All have tires that are probably five to 20 years old. Stan Lucas of Lucas Classic Tire told me years ago that until a tire begins to physically deteriorate it can be safely driven. The key is having fresh tubes installed.
