Is there a general idea what month the 2026 PAS meet in Buffalo will be ? Thanks
Since I have not seen a reply to my question, can I assume there will be no 125th meet in Buffalo?
If so, that would be unfortunate.
Dennis,
At the February Board meeting the Buffalo meet was discussed. There has been difficulty getting someone in that area to be the “boots on the ground” for the meet. I have not heard anything more recently.
Thanks for the reply David.
Is there anyone in New York or elsewhere with the capabilities to be the “boots on the ground”? I am sure the 100th meet in Buffalo was a lot of work, and it may never be duplicated, similar to the 100th Packard meet I attended in 1999 in Warren, OH. By the way, the Packard Club did not get together to have a 125th anniversary meet in Warren, OH. I hope somehow the 125th anniversary meet it is still in the process for Buffalo.
As one of the co-chair of the 100th anniversary meet, I cannot begin to explain the amount of work that went into that meet. With Jim Sandoro just having had bypass surgery, we cannot expect anything but advice and assistance from him. Similarly, I am away from that area now, and too old to become involved. One suggestion might be to skip a year , regroup and see if someone else can do the job the following year, or skip the notion altogether and proceed to areas where an effective group can run a meet.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN SKIP A YEAR HONORING PIERCE-ARROWS 125th ANNIVERSARY? That the former Buffalo Region has been renamed Canal Region means someone in the area is there – plus an entire thriving city available – to help. It sounds like casting a wider net is all that is needed to spur interest: may we see something from the Region?
The Glidden medal made it out (arriving in a shoebox) for the 100th anniversary celebration; it would be great to see how it is doing in 2026, too.

Brooks, I am quite tired of your non productive pontificating. You want to see a meet, get off your ass and volunteer your time
It sounds like I am getting through about the importance of meeting in Buffalo for the 125th anniversary, and for the second time in 25 years! Back then, when I pressed the Society to hold a 100th anniversary meet in Buffalo, there was also resistance and rejection (but no swearing). Then, my initial presentation to the board failed. But something I said, or did then, resonated, and changed the thinking, and we got there, and it was great. And, I think, helped maintain interest in Pierce-Arrow.
But I do not think anything is gained to try and have a conversation at this point, when the determination to throw cold water on discussion is so strong.

With all due respect: may I apologize for my use of the word “ass”. I had a point to make, and I made it, and my position stands. As for the 2000 meet, you may have expressed some notion of need for its occurrence: however, Freddy Tycher was the larger than life impetus needed to create the extravaganza that resulted. Jimmy Sandoro, with all his influence in Buffalo, was the frosting on this ten layer cake of the most impressive auto show that I, as a humble third party co-chair helped effect. I meant no caustic everlasting cast to your behaviour, but quite frankly, get involved or leave the hardworkers alone
