There is a 1918 5 ton Pierce truck up for an online auction by Aumann Auctions, lot 271 in their European tractor auction, all restored.. Unfortunately it’s located in the Netherlands, but Aumann is able to arrange shipping and delivery anywhere. Some very good photos on their website might be of interest to some members. This truck was probably one shipped to France during the war and managed to survive two wars and numerous scrap drives. It’s currently up to 500 Euros. Hit the search bar on their website for Pierce Arrow and it should come up.

These are cool, but very heavy, long, tall and wide. We have a 1917 in the Pierce-Arrow Museum that was running well when it arrived, but was then prepped for long-term storage. I may be able to assist with some information about the trucks.

Dave, I bet your ’17 truck doesn’t have front wheels like this one does.

The solid rubber tires from America have a strand of wire inside that

gets welded (?) somehow. The tires on the auction vehicle are the shiniest

    I’ve ever seen.
