There is a listing for a 1929 model 133 touring on the horseless carriage website, http://www.hcca.org
Here is a link to it on the Hemmings website.
Seems to be priced about right at $70,000 obo.

An open, eight cylinder, Pierce, running and driving, for $70k, sure sounds like a good deal. Even if it needs cosmetics, drive as is and enjoy, fix as you drive.
If it’s a good car, someone will get a fair buy….
Here is the link to HCCA, on 1/6/18, the PA is the first car listed for sale at the top; copied from HCCA:
“1929 Pierce Arrow Model 133
A great running Pierce Arrow Model 133 Sport Phaeton
This car has an older restoration. It is originally from Texas. It runs great and looks good
This is my dads car and do to health issues is for sale. The price on the car is 70,000
Please email for more pictures or with any questions

I do not know the car in the ad…….there are several 29 touring cars and a D/C that run and drive down the road in similar condition that can be purchased if one inquires…….seems the car is priced exactly where the market has them trading……and yes, it seems low to me…….
I know the car as it looks like the yellow one from Texas which is an old restoration. It is most likely listed in an older roster and believe it was in the Dallas area.It seems this car and the 1912 Cadillac are priced a bit on the low side.I believe the Cadillac may be the one that was on the Cadillac exhibit at the 1939-1940 New York automobile show. These cars may not last long on the market. This 133 Phaeton I believe would have the high speed 4.08 to 1 rear axle ratio as does my Roadster.A Touring Car would be geared lower.
I emailed the owner’s daughter. Below you will find a link to more pictures and her response to my email.

My dad Ed Walhof owns the car. I am his daughter and am presently dealing with his finances.
Thank You

I’ve also checked on the history of the car.. the ugly truth: it has an un-restored engine. The restoration done in ’65-’66 did not include an engine overhaul.
At the last PAS meet in Superior Wisconsin in ’97 the car was smoking pretty badly..
So, an engine overhaul is in order. Unless it sells to Florida to be a really classy mosquito-fogger.

Greg,
How is the rest of the car? I remember reading about it in an older issue of one of the hobby publications and I think was a pretty solid car before it was restored. It might have been in a CCCA “Classic Car”” or the AACA “”Antique Automobile””.Checking an index might produce the article.”
I contacted the seller and the following is what I received:

The serial number is: 2004338
Engine number is: A3588
The car drives well, my husband and I had it running this summer. My dad had a fairly bad stoke last February, so the car was not on any tours in the past year but we did drive it around the block to make sure everything worked before we put it up for sale.
