1931 – 1933 Taillight lens

    Please note that I already have a want ad posted, but I thought I would make a second request to the avid PAS website folks. Dave Murray is able to fix me up with most of what I need for my project, but does not have the taillight lens for me:

    Used on 1931 – 1933 Pierce-Arrows.

    The center flat (almost flat) red taillight lens that is marked STIMSONITE on the top face of the lens and is marked GUIDE LAMP NO. 914149 on the top of the back side of the lens. The back side of the lens has a pyramid pattern and a slightly over a half inch clear red circle at the 6 o’clock position on the bottom of the lens.

    Even if you don’t have a lens, I would appreciate leads on people that might be able to help me.

    Have you tried Bill James in Illinois? He made some lenses for his ’31 and might have leftovers.

    I have located an original lens. Thank you to Bill Lyons and Miles Morstatter for offering substitute lenses, Bill Morris for a lead on a possible reproduction lens and Paul Jacobs for contacting me concerning an original. We have a lot of helpful people in the society!

    Unfortunately for me, Dave Murray had the opportunity to sell his entire parts car prior to me closing a deal on the gas tank cover.

    I have posted a new want ad on the website and was hoping that the regular website viewers might be able to come to my assistance once again.
