OK, someone ‘fess up….who bought the V-12 sedan that popped up on Ebay this morning? Good deal if engine is good, if engine needs work, then it gets interesting!

    Dave, post a link please.

That is a really nice car-the original upholstery is in good shape too.

My money’s on Greg: he gets great buys all the time!

Nope, took a look at it, thought about it. But honestly could not get past the colors of the paint.

I then put on my rose-colored glasses, and it looks better.

I picked up the phone and called, the car is located about 70 miles from me. I’m familiar with the

location where the photos were taken.

The seller’s phone was busy. I went to call again, and the Ebay ad changed to ‘Sold’.

I wanted to see the car in person, so I called this morning, the car had already been paid for and

    taken away.

If this is the brown sedan that was for sale a while back, I am familiar with the car. It was in Michigan as I recall. I had extensive photos and history on the car at the time. I passed on it. The new owner may or probably will be a member, so I shall say I thought the car needed a lot of sorting and effort to make it a reliable driver. What was the selling price?

    #405333

25K is what the buy it now price was … and according to Ebay it was sold for that…

    #405334

Well, don’t they all need work? I have rarely seen a completely finished Car…never owned one, either.

    #405336

Some need a lot more than others, that is for sure.

This was a reasonable price, even for an 8cylinder car, but I need to ask about and

see a car before I buy it.

Things like the paint on the firewall: sprayed over the ignition coils, that type of stuff really gets

under my skin. When I see that type of ‘hack’ work, I start to expect to see more if it.

It makes my ‘I want it’ pull back to ‘Well,Maybe’.

It will be interesting to see where it surfaces. The new owner has something to do with a

Dodge-Chrysler new car dealership. Ed: does that mean anything to you??

Yes, the Dodge/Chrysler dealership connection MAYBE the collection we visited at the Gilmore Gathering about five years ago that had the soda shop and DeSoto cars……..it’s local to that collection and makes sense. I have emailed several members who contacted me about the car. I passed on it twice, about four and three years ago. I do not wish to put a opinion on the car in public. I passed on it. Hopefully we get a new member out of the sale. Ed

I checked with Red McFadden, the Chrysler dealer in South Haven. It was not him. Also, Lloyd VerHage in Holland passed away last year, so it wasn’t him either. I don’t know any other Chrysler dealers in West MI who are old car people.
