True “Barn-Finds” Pierce-Arrows
2 still in their original garage in California
& 1 in my garage in Illinois
These cars have been locked up in an Oakland, CA garage since 1961
and were last licensed in the early 60’s
CA cars originally, they have been spared the usual degredation of Midwest winters
but still have the textured patina of true “barn-finds”
The wood & metal remain amazingly solid, the interiors…not so much.
The previous owner was an engineer for Shell Oil and a true lover & collector of Pierce-Arrows
He worked in California for many years, then
was transferred to St Louis, MO , where he continued his Pierce passions but
For some reason, he never had these cars relocated to St Louis.
He did however remove parts from the cars and bring them home to St Louis.
One must be surrounded by Pierce parts, when you are a Pierce purist
He has passed away & I am now the caretaker of this amazing collection.
I have purchased this man’s entire collection of cars & parts,
& I am making available for sale these 3 Pierce-Arrows at a very low price to allow someone
the opportunity to enter the prestigious Pierce-Arrow community at entry level
Bargain prices that will allow the new owner to invest in the car’s restoration
These are Full Classics and great cars ready for a home
I have been approached by others to buy the cars with the intention of “parting them out” for profit
But I believe that they are restorable
& that most of the missing parts are among my St Louis “cache”.
I would like to see these cars get back on the roads of America
and will facilitate getting all the correct parts back to the right car
……to make sure you have “All The Right Stuff”
Car #1
1932 Pierce-Arrow Club Brougham
This is the nicest of the cars and was actually kept inside a heated garage in St Louis.
This car has a nice older restoration in a medium blue gray over black fenders.
It has a nice broadcloth whipcord interior with fron bucket seats.
It has the Pierce 8 Nine Main engine
20 years ago, the owner started to replace the head gasket
& water jacket gaskets, then stopped after removing these parts
It comes with the new gaskets & water jacket cover
This car could be made to run in 3 days
It is a lovely car with one of the prettiest body styles ever built…..24,000
Car #2
1932 Pierce-Arrow 5 passenger sedan “Barn-Find”
Wood appears to be solid and the car is complete with the parts from the St Louis “cache”
Engine had had parts removed and the interior is distressed
Has dual side mounts.
Doors hang well-solid metal
Beautiful dash………………..$12,000
Car #3
1934 Pierce-Arrow 836A
This car has decent original paint & appears to be a very solid car
It has dual sidemounts
The interior is severely distressed…………..$6,000
Photos & serial number information are available upon request
It’s not often cars like this come up for sale.
Good to hear that you want to see these cars on the road and you’re going to facilitate the new owner(s) getting them there. It would be a shame to see the cars taken apart instead of being out on the road where they belong.
Good luck with sale.
