How thick is the original brake lining on a 1930? Thanks.

    A ’30 is 3/16″

Sorry, that is for a ’31.

Thanks for the help. Model 133 and 143 were for 1929 and I believe those brakes were the same as the 1930 rod operated brakes. Late 1930 switched to cable operated brakes with two shoes. My car has the three shoe brakes.

    Bill,

    I think I confused myself. I was lookin at a aaca forum. (Forums.aaca.org/f120/ Pierce-arrow-brake-lining-217072.html).

The listing shows 3/16″ on a ’30 and another reference says .170″” for a 31. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks for your help Bill. Paul Johnson found the lining is 2 1/4 x 3/16 with 15 inch drums for ’29 and ’30.

    Buffalo here we come!

    Bill
