    It was a hell of a job to change the chain of my 1930 model B. Fenders, hood, radiator, fan etc. had to be removed. The 90 years old chain was «worn out». It was noisy and had streched as you can see on the first photo. The engine has been run of earlier owners and myself for about 100 000 kilometer (65’ + 35’), that means more than 62 000 miles.

    A slack chain also has a bad effect on the timing according to the experts. On the second photo you can compare the new chain against the original one on the first photo. The sprocket is now again secured with wire (last photo). All parts will be cleaned before I start assembling.
