Can anyone tell me any details on the cowl lights on a 836. Are they the same as any other year or unique to ’33.
Thank you in advance
Hi William,
Are you referring to the post lights on the dashboard, or are you referring to exterior lights that somehow mount on the cowl? Standard 836 cars did not have exterior cowl lights.
They did have 2 simple post lights to illuminate, that mounted on the upper portion of the dashboard to light up the gauges. 1931 cars had lights behind the dashboard that lit up the gauges. 1932 and 1933 had the post lights. I am attaching a picture of the 1932 dash (I don’t have a 1933 dash picture handy). Maybe another member could send you a nice macro shot of the post lights on a 1933 dashboard.
Happy Motoring,

Hi William, My 1933 836 does not have cowl lights , However, It does have parking lights that fit between the Grill shell and the front fender. If thats what you are asking?, I believe the 33 and 34 years are the same. Good Luck,
