Anyone know which distributor this cap goes on? (Or perhaps it is not a Pierce-Arrow cap.)

I’m pretty sure it’s the Studebaker President cap which fits the 29-31 Pierce 668E distributor. I use a cap just like this on my ’31 Model 42

Thanks, Bill. I guess I’ll keep it as an extra. Any reason you don’t use an original?

The regular caps for Pierce Arrows are as scarce as hen’s teeth. If you find one expect to pay $500.00 for one. The unit shown is a Studebaker cap. I keep one as a backup. They work extremely well and may be superior to the original. They just are not original. Some Pierce owners use the Studebaker unit, then change over to their correct unit for shows.

I’ll take five good used caps for the big distributor for 500 if any one has them, last time I saw one sell it was for three times that. Ed
