Now THIS is my kind of ‘Easter Egg Hunt’. !!
I just love finding an old car ‘garage sale’.
Nice! There’s almost a car there…..
So, I loaded up, and made some phone calls. There are now four very happy PAS members who have the very difficult to find items they’ve been looking for for years.
This is all from a ’25 S80 2door 4/5 passenger ‘Coach’. the one with the fold forward front ‘bucket’ seats, and a rear bench seat.
I also have good doors, good, but in need of re- grain painting window trims, .
The front fenders, gas tank and engine are sold.

Remains of the engine. NO main bearing caps, no bearing shells. No pistons or connecting rods, no lifters, no manifolds or carburetor.
I think this PILE had had several different owners, each using or selling a few items, until it reached this level. I did not take the frame/ chassis, it was already striped, and would cost far more to bring home or ship home than it would ever be worth. Plus I already have two ‘spare’ chassis’ that I’m slowly robbing parts from.

I bet that pile of parts came with a hernia, I managed to get 4 of them over the past few years picking up piles of parts just like that one. Nice score, and it’s good the parts are going to a good home. Thanks for posting.
Nope, no hernias, I had one fixed a few years ago.
The PAS members are really happy with their long sought after parts,
AND the best thing is that they paid about half of retail or what they sell for on ebay or at Hershey.
Everybody had a great Easter !!

i want to thank Greg and George for sharing there find it provided me with the cylinder head I desperately needed and a much better cylinder block than what I was trying to salvage. Does anybody know of a good set of pistons can be standard to .030 over
Jay Gallagher
Jay, you are welcome.. I had you in mind when I went to look at the ‘Pile ‘O Pierce’.
I was gambling a bit that you still needed a cylinder head, and maybe a cylinder block when I bought that pile of parts.
This worked out well for both of us: You got to get the parts without having to pay for expensive shipping since you drove down and picked them up yourself, AND I did not have to take a day to make a really good shipping crate that would survive the abuse from a commercial trucking company.
By the way, I do have a timing chain cover, I’ll send some photos soon.

Greg, I don’t NEED a thing (except time to do all my projects)my Series 80 is running like a top. We got it out yesterday for the first time this winter (at least our definition of winter in Georgia which I am sure is quite different than your definition of winter) but may be interested in a spare artillary wheel and maybe the third member from the rear axle/differential. Let me know if they are available.
Hi Tom, glad you have some weather other than this never-ending winter the midwest is having this year.
What size wheels are on your ’27 ?? The front wheels have different hubs than the rear wheels. So I’d need to know what size, and for the front or back axle the wheel is going on.
My first series 80 was a 1927, it had 6.00×21″ wood spoked wheels. The earlier series 80 cars usually had 6.00×22″ wheels.
I’m not sure what a ‘third member’ from the rear axle is. A semantics thing. The rear differential I bought on Easter weekend is complete, it has 4.45:1 gear ratio. Here at home I have separate axles, differential housings torque arms, and gear housing/gear carriers.
Greg L
I’ve always heard the term ‘third member’ refer to the differential.
Thanks Craig, I guess that’s something missing from my experience and background.. To me the gear carrier is often called the ‘Pig’ or ‘the gears’ .
