Bought my first Pierce a few weeks back. Previous owner said it hadn’t run in almost twenty years because the head cracked from water in it. Since then I tore it all apart for a visual and gave it a valve job. Everything checked out fine and the inside was clean. Could not believe that it fired right up and ran pretty smooth. Still need to do the carb and fine tuning. Hoping to get it out next weekend-weather permitting.

    Jim,

Perhaps it is my computer, but you link does not work for me.

Also, cutting and pasting the link does not work if I go straight ti Youtube.

See if this link works. If not go to YouTube and search 1926 Pierce Arrow Series 80.

I’m very happy for you Jim, it’s great when hard work is rewarded with great results.

Time to retorque the cylinder head after the engine cools down.

    Wow!

Im so jealous! I cant wait until the phaeton gets to have its starting day. You did a great job. You should be proud of yourself for bringing another car back to life. :)

    Jim,

Nice job on getting your Pierce going so quickly after taking ownership of the car, she sounds good! Enjoy your first drive and we hope to see the car at an upcoming PAS annual meet.
