The fuel pick-up was broken by the gas tank repair person. This pick up is threaded in to the right end of the tank. Does any one have one available for sale? If yes please bring to Hershey Region, my space is C2A-58. I have a yellow GMC Motor Home.

    Hello Ron,

Is the fuel pickup you are referring to the part that is threaded into the cast fitting just ahead of the fuel cap ?

This fuel pickup has a horizontal threaded fitting for the fuel line going forward to the vacuum tank on the firewall, and it has a supply/reserve lever on top, with a brass tube within a tube going vertically down tot he bottom of the tank.

The top cast part of the assembly was made of pot metal, and as the pot metal swelled over the years, they became stuck in the steel fuel tank fitting, and would crumble and fall apart when any attempt was made to remove the unit.

There are no reproductions being made to my knowledge.

Hopefully you have enough of the pieces to take to a competent machine shop, who could make a replacelment part from brass or aluminum. Hopefully you can reuse the supply/reserve lever and the double suction tubes.
