Though we could only stay for Saturday, Greg Long’s “Mini Meet” of P-A Society members was a rousing success. My wife and I drove to Greg’s house in Holly in our ’32 on Saturday morning and, though I had some reservations on whether the car would make it, we had absolutely no problems throughout the day. When we arrived there were already a half dozen P-A’s of various years and one model A ford. (How did that get in there?…) Anyway, after meeting and chatting with several P-A members we got a nice nickel tour of Greg’s newly rebuilt house and then off to lunch. After a very satisfying meal at Mr. B’s Pub we got a police escort out of the parking lot ( I didn’t think we had gotten THAT rowdy in the restaurant!…) then it was down the road for some heavenly ice cream. By that time it was getting late so we headed back to the farm. Everything was going well until someone ran out of gas on the way back, luckily it wasn’t too far from the farm, so they were rescued and made it back okay. By that time we had to leave.
It was a wonderful little mini meet and we had a great time. Thank you for inviting us Greg, you and Ken were great hosts and I only wish we could have come back for Sunday.
Three Cheers for Greg & Ken! HIP, HIP, HURRAY; HIP, HIP, HURRAY; HIP, HIP, HURRAY!
Thanks to Greg and Ken for a wonderful weekend!
The Pre-Meet at Greg’s house was great fun. Greg and Ken were super hosts.
Happy Motoring

Thanks everyone !! Ken and I had a ball putting on the mini-meet, we regretfully forgot to invite a lot of people.
The short 46 mile tour/lunch/icecream stop went well, and the police escort from Mr ‘B’s pub was a plus.
The weather cooperated, temps in the low 80’s, and no rain, and thankfully few mosquitoes. !!
I think Rick restocked his shop from my Pierce Parts room [just kidding Rick] and we all had a great time.

Even a John Deere showed up, giving ‘hay rides’ out to the lake, a few ‘off brand’ cars were also in attendance !
Where did those come from?? Well the Model A ‘won’ the longdistance award, having been driven over 4000 miles from San Jose California area !!
The Rambler American is mine, and the Corvette substituted for a WWII Duck that wouldn’t start that morning. That would have been interesting to have in the Koi Pond !!
