At last I can mention the isolation of the gasoline pipe. What I use is a pipe made of polyethylene foam. It comes in different pipe dimentions.

At last I can also give you following tip: Do have a couple of small wet towels in a closed plastic bags. When vapor lock occur put a wet towels around the carburator. This will cool down the carburator. Also when you are having a stop or a rest, allways open the hood and let fresh cool air in!
