Hubcaps

Ok this is going to sound like a really stupid question. I cannot get the hubcap off of my 1236 PA right sidemount. I am using a towel so I don’t take the paint off, and putty knifes so I can wedge either a screwdriver or a tire iron in there. It think the screwdriver will break before this cap is going to come loose. Has anyone come up with a tool to get this off? Yes it is unlocked, and I can get it out about 1/2 of an inch.

My guess is that it is not unlocked and the 1/2″ movement is the bending of the latch. When unlocked there is no reason that the cap will not tip out for removal. Check the movement of the keyed latch again.”
