Is the PA Model 81 considered “Brass and Nickel””?”

    Model 81 is 1928 vintage.

Hi David, definitely not ‘Brass’. I would say Nickel era to Nickel/Chrome era.

The Series 81 had a mix of nickel and chrome right from the factory. It was NOT all chrome, just some of the plated parts were chrome. Most notably the radiator shell was chromed.

    David,

It is definitely not a brass era car, which I understand ran from 1896 to 1915.

The Series 81 falls in the Nickel Age of 1916 to 1929..

Although……..I understand a car could be ordered in brass into the late teens. I know someone with a 1918 Model 48 that was ordered brass from the factory and is still such……But its not a Model 81.
