For those wanting to see a Pierce Arrow on the road, in action, back in the day, check out on YouTube this interesting video put out by the Brunswick Tire Co. in 1934. It’s about 16 minutes long and shows construction techniques of their product line. More interesting to us is the last two minutes of the video, where a fleet of well worn test vehicles of various manufacture are being put through the paces on wet, rutted, and muddy roads to test the new Brunswick tires. Leading the pack, of course, is a 1930 Pierce Arrow sedan.
Put in your YouTube search “early tire manufacturing, 1930’s, Under the Tread”.
That was a very interesting video.
Thanks for posting.
Working in a tire plant back then was a tough job.
Not a whole lot of safety features on those machines.
Enjoyed; thanks for sharing.
Hard work indeed; don’t forget all the hard work and sacrifice that came before us: another reason to preserve fine Pierce-Arrow Cars!
