Neat photos. I like the as new and today shot. Thanks for posting.
William,
Thanks for sharing the website of the Pierce-Arrow factory.
Here is my postcard dated May 15, 1914 from my collection. It is a little worn but is still interesting to have.

And the back side.
Can you make out the writing?
– Ben
I think it’s
“Ford for mine”” and “”How is Bob””
Bill”
I visited the plant last fall with some friends – me to right.
It was nice to learn that they were restoring the building instead of tearing it Down.
Wonderful for we Pierce-Arrow owners on the other side of the world to see where our car was born!!! Thank you to all who have posted.
Oivind only had to fly 6000 miles to see it Jak. You flight would be closer to 12,000. Your package will go out in the next few days. I will email you soon. Ed
There used to be a historical marker above the street number over the front main entrance door which read something like “Pierce-Arrow Famous Quality Car Made Here 1901-1938, Buffalo Automobile Dealers Association 1959.”
In the above photo with Oivind and two others, you can sort of see the less weather-stained rectangular area where it was located.
Does anyone know what happened to it?
I intended to visit it in 2012 BUT Hurricane Sandy got me!!
Another question to ask is was the war memorial plaque still there?
I’m glad to see that Stuart, Clara and Curtiss have brought up the plaques that were formerly attached to this building.
