Pierce socket wrench

I have a Pierce Script, 8-inch socket wrench, “L” shaped, P/N 269A – Special, manufactured by JH Williams.

I thought it was a lug wrench for my Series 80, but it is 7/8-inch nut and too large for the lug nuts.

Any idea of of its application?
