When I was cleaning my original radiator core I must have nicked the inside of one of the holes. I have a tiny, but steady, leak now. I noticed some of the other holes have been plugged with what appears to be maybe an epoxy. Will this simply take car of my leak or do I have to re-core it. I certainly hope not because this core is factory original.

Hi Tom, I’ve used a ‘Q-tip’ as a swab to mop the passageway with JB Weld or similar epoxy.

It is imperative that the passageway is clean for the epoxy to bond to the metal.

I’ve used a .22 Caliber brass or stainless steel bore brush to clean and prep the leaking passageway.

Clean the metal after brushing with Acetone or similar non-oily solvent.

I’ve had pretty good luck with this process.

Look at Alvins Hi-Temp Lab Metal. I have had awesome results with this product.
