Rear axle shafts, 1932-1938

Hi,

I had an axle break on our ’34 8-cyl at the Williamstown meet, and would like to know how many members (if any) have had an axle break on a 1932-1938 Pierce, and where along the axle it broke. I heard that the 1930’s had a problem, but what about 1932-1938? How many of you have had axles magnafluxed to check for cracks and found any?
