Replicated hood ornaments with information plaque

For the bid to go this high, there has to be some misunderstanding of what is real and what is fake.

These are gimmick replicas that were made, I think, in the 1970’s or slightly later. These have no connection with the original hood ornaments in any way, other than a resemblance and a reference to same.

Buyer beware, these should not bring any kind of big money.
