safe copper gas tank cleaning

What products will safely clean a copper gas tank? I live in Northern Cal. and would like to know of any professional outfit where I could have

it cleaned by somebody who has been successful at handing a clean undamaged tank back to the owner. I might go a long distance for this service. Any advice will be appreciated. I hear antique boats have this problem.
