Hi, I am looking for a Series 80 Radiator for my 1925. It must be in very good condition. If anyone has one please contact Ken 805-801-3361

    Ken,

There is one on eBay, (186552169429) as a part of a disassembled / rough Series 80 for sale for cheap.

    Peter,

Thank you for the lead. That one looks pretty rough to me. Do you know if a Series 81 from 1928, is the same as a Series 80?

    Ken,

First, the Series-80 Radiator shown on eBay actually “appears” to be in relatively good condition.

I don’t see any gaping holes, bleeds or traces of old-bleeds through the honeycomb,

Further, It Is a Difficult Item to Find, especially in such good condition.

Apropos of Series 81 radiators, I believe they are the same as the radiators used in the Series-80, but the cars have differences, about which, I do not know

However, note that the PAMCC created Far-Fewer Series-81 cars, than they did Series-80 cars.

So, if you decide to search for a Series-81 radiator, you will be looking through a far smaller population of Pierce-Arrow vehicles.

Perhaps the eBay seller of that largely disintegrated Series-80 Coach would be disinclined to sell it off piecemeal.

However, if you don’t ask, you don’t know.

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for your insight. There is a Series 81 car close to me that I believe I can get for a song. The Radiator Shop is still looking mine over and I should know this week if it can be saved. We have one leak that I know of. Hopefully, we don’t have any others. I will let you know what I find out.

    Ken,

Have checked with Greg Long. both about finding a radiator and whether the S 80 and S81 are interchangeable?

    Hi Dave,

I have not checked with Greg yet. I will send him an email.

    Thank you,

    Ken
