Series 81 Bumperette Medalion

This small medallion is used as a spacer between the two parallel tubes on the rear bumperettes for my Series 81 coupe.  I am curious as to the finish.  If I nickel-plate the tubes, should this be plated, too?  It looks a little like bronze lettering against a painted background.

Jack, my guess is it was nickel plated, then all the lower background areas filled with black to make the edge and lettering quite bold, your bumpers front and rear would look great chrome or black with nickel plated end caps if you don’t wanna plate the whole bumper. Being being a 1928, is all your other exterior plating chrome or nickel? Karl
