A few years back, I downloaded the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s service bulletins onto my laptop. Somehow my index has gotten corrupted and can’t be accessed but I can look at any of the individual bulletins.

Can someone search their index and tell me which particular bulletin or bulletins deal with the proper adjustment of the clutch on an early eight cylinder? I have a 1931.

    Thanks for your assistance!

    John,

You can use Adobe Acrobat Reader’s “Advanced Search”” to search ALL files in a folder. It is easiest if you have downloaded all of the Service Bulletins to the same folder on your laptop.

    1) Open one of the Service Bulletin PDF files in Adobe Reader.

    2) Open “”Advanced Search”” from the “”Edit”” menu on the toolbar.

    3) Select the “”All PDF Documents in Folder”” option.

    4) Use the drop-down to select the folder where the Service Bulletin PDF files are located. Use the “”Browse for Location”” option.

    5) Enter your search word(s)

    6) Click “”Search””

A new window will appear with links to ALL instances of the word you searched for. Click on any instance to open the associated Service Bulletin PDF file.

    Paul,

Thank you for the help! I did have all the bulletins in one file, so the “Advanced Search” feature worked great!

For others that might be looking for more information on the Long Manufacturing Clutch, the PAS publication I was looking for was bulletin 73-5.

    John
