Spark Plug Heat Range

My V-12 Specs call for Champion H-10 Spark Plugs. However I have been told that I should get plugs that are two heat ranges higher due to modern gasoline.

Has anyone had experiance with this?

I had pre detonation trouble on my 33 Pierce 8 which has a slightly milled head. I had to go to ranges 2 numbers cooler on my Champions to prevent pre detonation. You will find trial and error as the best way to determine your plug heat range. Ken Fuchs
