Spark plug adjustment – I have renewed the spark plug cabeles and cleaned up the the spark plugs. In my instruction book for 1930 models they recommend the gap of .027. I have heard due to the gasoline of to day the gap has to be a little bit wider. Can anybody confirm that?
I wouldn’t, by faulty memory years ago I was setting the gap on my Packard to a wider value and kept burning the points. It runs much better on the recommended gap.
Wow – then I let the gap be at .027. Thank you Jim.
